White female liberal college students celebrate the first world "privilege" of being able to kill their fetus because of regret (most common reason), while the slow deterioration of individual responsibility continues in the West.

It’s amazing how people are so concerned about preventing an abortion, yet once it’s born want to absolve government and themselves of any responsibility of raising it. It’s your body ladies, you should have control over what you do with it.

We are happy that men can no longer tell us what to do with our uteruses. Must be nice to already have autonomy eh David? Nice to not have the ownership of your own body put to a vote. What a shite thing for you to say.

Emily you are the selfish one. It has nothing to do with “telling women what to do with their body” that’s a shit argument. The real argument is that you are killing. A baby. Regardless of who’s body it is in.

Nah it's not a baby at 7 weeks or even 12 weeks. I have 4 kids of my because I wanted them. But I'll be damned if men will criminalize maintaining my bodily autonomy.

A choice I personally agree with and sincerely respect. But I also have little doubt that if men experienced the entire weight (physically, emotionally, financially) of pregnancy and the prospect of not HAVING a choice, there would be the huge influx of male pro-choice voters.

I agree that pregnancy incurs physical, emotional, and financial weight. My wife and I have five children. What of the men who are denied the privilege of being a father, because the mother decided to abort? Is fatherhood any less important than motherhood?

What's more, how many instances of abortion do you think have happened where the couple was in a committed relationship and the woman up and decided to abort against her partner's wishes? The vast majority of women who get abortions are single w/ the father not in the picture.

That is both true and tragic. But your logic contradicts itself in your first statement. If fatherhood is no less important than motherhood, as you conceded, then her desire to abort would supersede the father's desire to be a dad, not to mention the baby's right to life.

Fatherhood is not less important than motherhood, but a woman's bodily autonomy is sacrosanct. You cannot force a woman to remain pregnant if she doesn't want to be, irrespective of how she ended up pregnant in the first place (no BC, BC failed, rape, etc.).

If a woman chose to have unprotected sex, fully knowing the consequences thereof, do you not feel that she owes her baby the right to live? If not, then it seems to me that abortion then becomes the most macabre method of birth control (BC) possible.

Stop with the lie that abortion is used by irresponsible women as birth control or will be used by them like that. Until viability, the fetus has no rights under the law. I don't care what religion says, we are not a theocracy. We are a nation of secular laws.
