With so many Democrats running, their fear is that the vote will be splintered, allowing Republicans — who have fewer candidates — to dominate some of the primarieshttps://nyti.ms/2KUxtHY

There is only ONE candidate that can beat Rohrabacher, @HarleyRouda! Endorced by DCCC, Sierra Club, EDF, Labor Unions, Equality CA, Pride Fund, Indivisible, local mayors! Give Dana a #RoudaWakening and let’s show #UnityWins!pic.twitter.com/8erE6YiCpZ

How is this possible? Do US parties not decide on a candidate and just let as many people run as want to? This sounds crazy.

California adopted a really dumb party primary system in 2010 (thank then-governor Schwarzenegger)https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/05/24/us/california-primary-election-rules-system.html …

It's like with the Republican Party controlling both Houses yet still being unable to pass the laws that party was elected to pass, seemingly with no way to punish or compel obedience from their legislators.https://twitter.com/metaauthor/status/890319608091226118 …

While that might be seen as a plus point, it just makes me think the whole US political system is completely dysfunctional

Entirely predictable result of Democrats changing the primary system there. If they end up losing some seats they thought they’d win because of this, I’d expect a lot of pressure to go back to the “regular” primary system.

Get out and vote everyone because the Democrats will try to win this one with illegal voting. They are letting illegal's vote, and now all the prisons and even the people who were felons who are not supposed to vote. So be prepared..

Democrats should unite and work together to protect the people. If that means one should drop out for the sake of the people, then so be it. There are other positions that can be filled to save our democracy! No matter what we must #FlipItBlue #flipitblue2018
