As begins, we honor one of our heroes — Detective Dalsh Veve. Confined to a wheelchair because a violent gang member dragged him with the stolen car he was driving, Dalsh inspires us all with his continued courage. The DEA will forever support him & his family.

NYPD cops perform amazing feats every day, simply because it’s “what they do.” It’s my privilege to join Deputy Inspector O’Malley today as we recognize the too-often unheralded work of ’s Finest. I thank each and every one of them for their service and dedication.
