Bill Gates himself has one of biggest carbon footprints of any human being in world. He lives in 66,000 square foot mansion with 24 bathrooms that is worth $145 million, which he calls (seriously) “Xanadu 2.0” It was built using half a million wood logs from 500 year old trees.

He's getting around that by buying up all the farmland he can get his hands on. He's now one of the biggest landowners in the US. The majority of farmland in the US at the moment is used for corn, I believe. He may be seeking to change that.
