What's to stop Trump now from telling his armed supporters to police voting centers in Democratic precincts on election day? He can promise pardons to anyone arrested or any police who won't enforce the law. How can this be prevented?
Republicans will likely be celebrating an acquittal tomorrow. They shouldn’t. Putting this president above the law will lead to suffering for everyone in the end, and when they’re hurt enough to decide it’s time to stop him they’ll find they’ve burned all the tools to do so.
