Dear Green Party voters,
If you HONESTLY believed the Green Party candidate was going to win #OH12, then this Chair hereby announces it's candidacy for Congresschair against Troy Balderson and Danny O'Connor in November.
It has a better chance of winning.
#Chair4OH12

This is so true. I understand it’s a natural first reaction. But got to think bigger
Dems need a scapegoat. btiching cuz of few votes, while ignoring those voters who didn't even bother to vote. What dems need to concentrate on is how to get voters out to vote for them, not castigate and belittle those who actually went out to vote.
I get it, but jeez, let’s not recycle neo nationalists, for crissakes. Signed: a green democrat.
The problem is Democrats need to get more of their voters out. Don’t blame the Green Party.
Also, a double digit swing toward Democrats and a narrow (presumptive) loss in a district that's been held by Republicans for literally decades is... still a pretty good outcome
This is similar to Stacey Abrams’ approach: persuade new young voters, never before voted, and lapsed voters. Going after “moderate” disillusioned Republicans and Green Party voters is low ROI and often a fool’s errand.
This is a good and reasonable thread, thank you both! I'd add, berating Greens and telling them to "fuck off", as I've seen repeatedly on here, alienates many decent voters who might otherwise vote Dem. But Dem leadership is inept/corrupt so fingers-in-ears is default.
If they don't get their shit together, we are going to lose everything. This happens over & over again. The most vulnerable will suffer - again. That should be enough. I'm tired of getting stabbed in the back by my fucking allies. The least they could do is help us hold the line.
Apologies, I don't mean to be a total a-hole, but I'm really frustrated because this isn't the first time. The GOP exploits their idealism to divide us - and it works. Every single fucking time. I'm angry, but mostly I'm just sad, disappointed and scared about the future.
