Holy shit. Earlier this week I did a thread exposing a bunch of Trump trolls posing as African-Americans & "hot" women & they all got booted from Twitter. Well now they're retaliating--I just got a disgusting Google+ alert so I dug around and the "man" who posted it IS DEAD

Speaker Pelosi, citing advice from busboy at a venue in which she spoke: "When the president says to you that the Mueller investigation is going on too long, just remind him, not as long as the audit of his tax returns." (Clarifies quote)

Guys: they *always* find something. Ffs they rallied behind a made-up process foul to ignore the fact that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted Ford. We can’t live in fear of the counterargument they’ll make, because they’ll always find some bullshit and make reporters believe they care.

We should not become numb to how fundamentally unacceptable it is to see these kinds of statements coming from official government accounts.

Many lawmakers believe the single thing that would bring a quick halt to the shutdown is a huge breakdown at the nation's airports.

While it may sound strange that a major kingpin had a channel to the American drug police, it was not the first time at Chapo's trial that a trafficker spoke about reaching out informally to the DEA.

“I supported Bernie in the primary, but I’m keeping my options open,” said Sarah Jane Teetzel, a 46-year-old Omaha resident. She added one caveat: “Except if I have to vote for an old white guy, he better be exceptional.”

This is huge that the Democratic party is fully behind DC statehood and will include it in a bill that likely will pass the House. We've never gotten this far before.

Must be nice for them, drawing their full salaries and heading to a weekend retreat while millions of middle class government workers go without a paycheck.

In a better world, we’d have more coverage of Tlaib’s ideas. In our world, the power necessary to present a substantive case to the public belongs to Dem House Chairs, who can hold public hearings. Backbenchers will struggle to be heard explaining themselves, even as they try.

Big media is not inclined to let impeachment advocates propound a lengthy case to the public through the media’s megaphone; the story they see is these people are in conflict with the president and their party’s leaders (which, as NYT shows, is also true).

There’s also, of course, a large and growing literature from scholars and former government officials supporting Tlaib’s views on impeachment. Here’s Bob Bauer, who served as WH Counsel to President Obama.
