    When 2021 is done, many thousands of Americans - most of them in red states - will have died unnecessarily because of the misinformation spread by antivaxxers and vax skeptics. That's the reality. And the weird thing is that most GOP politicians seem fine with it.

    You know what the biggest problem with the Sussman indictment is? 1. The biggest problem is not the difficulty of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Sussman even made the statement they allege he made 5 yrs ago in a room w/one other person. Although that's a real problem. 1/

    Just to make clear how wrong this is, read the order for yourself. The judge says: “Consistent with this court’s previous order…that set a hearing…the US’… motion for expedited briefing…is denied” It’s very obviously not a denial of the motion for a preliminary injunction.

    This is so wrong as to be embarrassing. Judge Pitman hasn't *ruled* on the preliminary injunction (the hearing is October 1); all he did today was deny the government's request to expedite his consideration of a TRO. Here's a full summary, with receipts:

    A federal judge just denied the motion for a preliminary injunction on the DOJ challenge to the Texas abortion law. The DOJ may have created unnecessary federalism and other issues with the filing.

    This is in many ways a choice Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, and Mitch McConnell made. When they each had their chance to organize opposition, they chose to capitulate to Trump instead. And now the backbenchers the party worked hard to recruit see a hopeless future.

    Gonzalez said he could have survived his primary against a flawed opponent But he realized as this year went on, he didn't want to come back a Trumpy caucus "You can fight your butt off and win this thing but are you really going to be happy? And the answer is probably not"
