i honestly hate how hard it is to reach journalists and get broad attention for like literally anything without twitter. no one corporation should have this much power over public discourse. i should not be required to tweet to release leaks in a way that actually reaches media.
the only reason i keep coming back here is because barely any journalist cares enough to keep up comms through other channels and no one cares about my releases before they go viral on twitter. this should not be what decides the news.
other people have voiced similar thoughts, but i can only talk about my own experience, others are free to add on to this
right before my last suspension my axial release was starting to gain attention, cool journalists started following me and people were talking about writing articles on it and looking into the data. a day later i was suspended. nothing ever happened with the data i released.

On a related note, what are some good social medias / mastodons / discords / etc to be on? I haven't been able to find a strong/active community outside of twitter except a couple small private discords
there are some really cool queer/tech social circles on mastodon (you're always free to sign up on http://notbird.site :p) and there are like some telegram groups i know of and some semi private chats on matrix. but yeah it's like all twitter and discord otherwise.
