In metro Detroit, the counties don't provide public info about where there may be possible hotspots. Oakland County, for example, doesn't say what cities are being affected on website. Wayne County doesn't appear to have that on website also (though they do email city breakdown).

Even with a city breakdown, it's still unclear to get a sense of where in that city the hotspots may be at. You could be living in or next to an outbreak, & not know about it. In South Korea, they had specific details about cases, not only where, but where the case was visiting.

The subdivision, apartment complex, or coffee shop you visit may be a hotspot, but you have no idea of knowing that.

Journalists should consider asking local cities/townships to reveal information they may have about how many coronavirus cases there are in their city, and/or where there may be hotspots. Or problematic gatherings earlier this month. We're in the dark now.https://twitter.com/nwarikoo/status/1243876270292840450?s=20 …

Oakland County needs to at least provide data on what cities they're seeing coronavirus cases and deaths. Oakland County is now a Top 10 county nationally in coronavirus deaths. What cities and townships are being affected? Is there perhaps a downtown area that was affected?

I know there have been confirmed cases in Birmingham Public School system but that is the only info the district passed on

Do they know? Beaumont is doing a staggering amount of testing, but is anyone doing tracking of the positive tests? The state tried for about two days and gave up. At some point, someone needs to pull a couple million out of the stimulus money and start hiring trackers.

Call everyone who tested positive but wasn't hospitalized. Find out where they were 3 days before they started having symptoms and everywhere they've been since. Post that information and call the people they were in contact with. Tell them to isolate until 14 days from contact.
