    Interesting how she phrases it, though. Von der Leyen: "We have always shown that we have (!) supported in the past, and we plan (!) to support in the future."

    We took stock, with EU leaders, of relations with Turkey and Russia. We are engaging and will continue supporting Turkey, as host country of millions of refugees. But 🇪🇺🇷🇺 relations are on a negative spiral. We will deal with Russia from a position of strength.

    There it is, the official announcement: "We plan to allocate an additional 3 billion euros to support refugees in Turkey until 2024."
