    arrays in lua are dictionaries with indices as keys. the array length operator just probes ascending keys until it finds a hole.

    I almost had a heart attack when I learned that hashes in Ruby are basically detached lexical scopes, the keys are symbols within the scope.

    One thing is certain: writing PHP during the '00s broke my brain forever.

    Spent five minutes feeling bad for wanting `or die()` in Swift before realizing I could use `try!`. Now I'm not sure how I should feel.

    Belay that, this outage is the utterly predictable consequence of the season’s first rain on PG&E’s infrastructure.

    This seismic retrofit project has resulted in more power outages than expected. Time to spend some money on a UPS for our net connection.
