I have no idea how they're processing these claims so quickly but one friend I just spoke to joined the queue on Friday, was called to apply on Sunday, and received 5000€ in her account this morning

suprisingly, this is just Berlin, and maybe Bavaria? Hamburg is its own mess. also, Berlin seems to have paid the highest amount. Federal state solutions...

Are non-citizens eligible? I'd assume yes, because Germany is generally better about this sort of thing.
