The medals should have the issued person and their service number inscribed on them. The RSL badge should also have a number on the back which would identify who it was issued to after the war

Is there a service number or initials engraved on them? Veterans Affairs may be able to track down the service person but they most likely belong to family now.

I’m no expert but the owner of those medals is most likely dead & they are now second generation owned.
