So what if a phase 2 p plater has his phone on flight mode and using it as an iPod? In a cradle. Not using Bluetooth. @nswpolice #clarity

ok. But a phone on flightmode is no longer a phone as it takes away the functionality. GPS and iPod completely legal?

so basically… when is a phone not a phone? No simcard would make it not a phone - flightmode reduces data and call functions.

Getting more complicated. Where to smartwatches sit? Apple Watch, a fgew Samsungs all have 4G capability to make calls, and play music and do GPS/Satnav functions. Is it a phone? Also, what about GPS units with Sim Cards that can make calls?
