If this program just involves positive interactions between police & the public, I think it's a great idea & should be continued to be implemented.

Saw this initiative on the TV this morning. It’s an awesome idea and one thing I do like about the UK policing is there’s a very proactive community policing program’s where uniformed police officers walk beats, chat with locals. That creates trust and intel. Crime deterrent.

Any more detail on what this means in practical terms? Assuming: Extra beat patrols. HUMINT push via active community engagement from front-line. Armbands to id the particular operational role emphasis (fluro to show extrovert willingness to engage and communicate safety intent)?

Or, live bodycam AIs identifying aberrant/evasive behaviour cues, physiological suggestions of anxiety reaction or psychological stress (perspiration, HR & respiratory incr.), electronic noses hunting pheromones for low-bar signals of emotional stress/fear/hostile intent, etc.?
