Have never once seen police target driver's red light running and stopping on pedestrian crosswalks. Have you thought of actually enforcing the road rules for those driving the two tonne death machines?

The police aren't particularly good at targeting drivers who fail to give way to pedestrians crossing a street that a driver is turning into either. Then again they were the "pedestrians" so you'd have to assume might is right.

If you’re thinking about walking, think again. Walking is dangerous. If you must walk, make sure you don’t get in the way of cars.
@nswpolice should consider sending some staff on sabbatical to Netherlands, Denmark and other advanced countries for further education! -
Be warned, do not say anything without a lawyer present, as it can be used against you in a court of law. Do not resist arrest or a strip search, but do not verbally agree, as this amounts to consent & do not under any circumstances agree to a cavity search. Its come to that.

The message from NSW police is that if you are sight or hearing impaired, stay home and never consider walking on a footpath or dare cross a road.

"Never assume that an approaching vehicle can see you, or will stop for you". I didn't know you had masses of driverless vehicles in NSW. This attitude explains a lot.
