I'm doubtful principals will allow them. Fire hazard, tripping hazard. If it were this easy, it likely would have been done already.

Do you have a sense for why this would be a fire hazard? Most air filters are pretty low power (at most a few hundred Watts, comparable to a few old-school incandescent lightbulbs). Or is there something else I'm missing?

Classrooms in my district are already pretty small and tightly packed. There's no way you'd get away with blocking any aisle within that confined space. Not to mention, many schools haven't seen a proper electrical update since the were built in the 50's 60's and 70's.

Very interesting. How tightly packed are we talking? Using units I’m familiar with you could cover a typical classroom in about 4 sq ft total (split over a few units). Not trivial, but maybe there’s space at the edges?

Every room is differently sized and for the most part, don't have any windows. I'll link to an article from not long ago, talking about our space struggles. I'm embarrassed to even show how bad off we are. fox5vegas.com/news/local/new

Wow, this is terrible, I am so sorry. I'd hope that there's still a space to squeeze in an air filter, even if it weren't optimally placed. Maybe on top of a table, even though that's pretty annoying. Forcing kids to share seats is ridiculous.

This district was a mess before we had kids & now the oldest is going into 10th grade. I'm not holding my breath for improvements. Cost a fortune but they do year round math tutoring piano& French lessons. Trying to squeeze in writing lessons and a classics book club. I'm pooped!
