I'm doubtful principals will allow them. Fire hazard, tripping hazard. If it were this easy, it likely would have been done already.

Do you have a sense for why this would be a fire hazard? Most air filters are pretty low power (at most a few hundred Watts, comparable to a few old-school incandescent lightbulbs). Or is there something else I'm missing?

Classrooms in my district are already pretty small and tightly packed. There's no way you'd get away with blocking any aisle within that confined space. Not to mention, many schools haven't seen a proper electrical update since the were built in the 50's 60's and 70's.

I’d be stunned if the electrical system couldn’t handle another 200 W per classroom. That’s like two incandescent lightbulbs, two laptop chargers, or half a desktop computer.

No, I'm sure they could handle that but there aren't enough outlets in these 50 yr old classrooms as it is. They'd need to be plugged in via extension cord. I'm just say, my oldest is 15 & going into 10th grade. I've got a TON of experience with this school district! 😉
