What are some open R&D problems that you think are interesting that:
1. You do not expect to be solved in the next decade
2. You *would* expect to be solved in the next decade if someone threw $1 billion into a program for solving them?

Run basic characterization experiments on a ton of organisms! Biologists mostly work with a small number of organisms that we figured out how to work with before modern genome sequencing/editing tools. Now we can do it for basically anything! (h/t )
