We shouldn't close our nuclear plants, but we have to be realistic about the fact that (barring huge technological breakthroughs) not many new ones are going to get built.
Renewables are the future.

What do you think of the claim that that nuclear power is structurally unaffordable because of regulations with ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) standards? rootsofprogress.org/devanney-on-th I like renewables but I wonder about base loads in places where pumped water is tough.
