From my layman's perspective the main takeaway from that CDC slide deck seems to be that if delta is that contagious it confirms we are headed toward some form of endemic covid regardless of the pace of vaccination

I don't think there's a ton of new stuff in there for vaccinated people to worry about beyond what you may have already been worried about, except to say that if you're resuming pre-covid activities it seems nearly certain that you will be exposed to covid at some point.

On some level that's not so surprising—the vaccine you got will be put to use, as it were. But it seems worth considering in terms whether your daily activities are based on "avoiding covid" or not (and I don't want to be prescriptive about that either way—it's your choice).

I wish I could find good data on the thing that I've actually been personally worried about this whole time (long COVID and friends). I don't care about "avoiding COVID" per se. I do want to avoid infections that are more likely than usual to make me chronically ill, though.
