Given that Delta variant is running wild, what should be the policy of a two-shot-vaxxed person who
(a) really doesn’t want to get long covid but
(b) is enjoying having a social life again?

I think it's pretty reasonable to avoid the riskiest situations (namely: crowded, poorly ventilated spaces) while living life fairly normally. Invite friends over for dinner instead of a restaurant (unless it has good ventilation); exercise at home or during odd hours at a gym.
As far as I can tell, COVID risk seems to vary over many (possibly 4 or 5?) orders of magnitude, and not entirely in ways that require one to hermit to avoid the greatest risks.

Also: air filtration is really under-rated and relatively unobtrusive, at least in space that you control (e.g., homes, offices). Anyone who convinces a public place to improve their air filtration has my eternal gratitude!

One interesting effect of the pandemic is that I'm hyper-aware of the quality of indoor ventilation. With case counts rising again even in heavily vaccinated places, I'm annoyed that we haven't done more with air filtration, and... I'm not even sure why?
