NEW: House Democrats have introduced a short term funding bill to avoid a possible government shutdown. The continuing resolution maintains current funding levels for federal agencies through December 11. Federal agencies are currently set to run out of money on September 30.

The bill doesn't include any major new policies or partisan requests that lawmakers view as “poison pills.” The narrow focus means the legislation does not include White House priorities like trade relief for farmers or additional food aid pushed by Democrats.

This feels, to me, like the dems conceding the Supreme Court seat. Unless you have extreme confidence in 4 Republicans breaking ranks (which is paramount to career suicide), a shutdown is your best hope to delay the process .

Defunding Seattle, Portland and NYC seems to be a good reason to not approve the spending bill. Do not let DOJ get away with this.

The Federal government is Trump property until Nov. 3. Let him finance the agencies he has acquired. Taxpayers shouldn't be willing to foot the bill, they're not working for us anymore.

Maybe if the government shut down they could avoid a vote for a new SCOTUS
