It's close to me in that it happened to two colleagues & friends: 1st reference is to Mary Louise Kelly, who interviewed Pompeo, who cussed her out. 2nd reference to Michele Keleman, our highly respected diplomatic correspondent, who is now barred from press pool covering Pompeo.

And again I ask, why do the reporters continue to sit there and take it? The constant barrage of petty insults, the baseless criticisms, the childish antics toward them. Why don’t they all walk out?

It's the same reason why a nurse that is on overtime, and is over the bank on vacation days doesn't walk out when your I.V. is running empty.
