It’s a meaningful change, which she made last fall but was less clear to me until today’s talk. Early in the campaign she said without reservation she supports Bernie Sanders’ MFA bill. Now she backs a public option, unless and until the public later buys in to MFA.

It's not M4A. It's a public option and it's doomed to fail.
She kept trying to avoid answering, but she was pressed. Also, it isn't true that most Americans want choice in their insurance. They want choice with respect to doctors, NOT insurance.
The anti-Obamacare argument was screaming about how people couldn't get to keep their doctors. And guess what, insurance companies always have always will never let people keep their doctors.
I listened to the interview this morning, she said she would make sweeping changes now and then the plan was to push on a vote at the end of the term. Not sure how that is an eventual aspiration rather than a plan.

Warren's plan is to delay the fight. This creates 2 problems. 1) It gives the insurance industry more time to drive down support for it. 2) It allows the Insurance industry to off load the unhealthiest people onto the public option & drain it of resources. thus feeding into #1.
