    Let’s be clear - Rural communities are also highly dependent on SNAP program, more so than urban:

    Did not know this. I now feel better about myself.

    Reminder: Being a “supertaster” is not a good thing. It doesn’t mean you have a more discerning palate, it just means you’re more sensitive to basic flavors like salt and bitterness, rendering properly seasoned food too intense for you. You shouldn’t want to be a supertaster.

    For the first time, farm bill debate is likely to center on the biggest USDA program, SNAP. Usually, ag issues overshadow nutrition during committee work, mostly because aggies dominate the committee and few urban members serve.
