Schumer now up. He looks at McConnell and chastises him for making political speeches. "We Democrats are trying to get things done, not making partisan speech after partisan speech."

Schumer signals Dems will vote no again if McConnell tries to press ahead now. But, he says, talks go on, and when a deal is reached, Ds will happily agree to accelerate the vote schedule.

After what might have been the most bizarre back and forth I have seen on the second floor, the Senate seems to have agreed to vote again on cloture at 1:30 pm or so.
