Wow, when do we admit we are not longer a democracy?

Princeton and Northwestern Universities did a joint study that revealed we are no longer a democracy but we are an Oligarchy. Google it.

Please note that this article is dated from over 4 years ago. This is not just a Trump thing, although I think he has certainly pushed the US deeper into oligarchic territory.
-
Please note Citizens United was decided in 2010. It just took 4 yrs for them to buy our country.

Bonnie gets it. Be like Bonnie.

Pres. Carter called the US an oligarchy in 2015. Our march to corporatism ratcheted up during Eisenhower, Reagan, Clinton, but with Citizens United we've crosssed the point of no return.

It was a movie AGAINST Clintons that the a right-wing PAC called "Citizens United" had made and pushed for, got challenged and that lawsuit went to SCOTUS and became what we call the "Citizens United" decision. Must fight fire with fire. for now.

He's not so much the most evil person in the world as he is the most cynical. Caring only about making money, he saw that a large, specific segment of the population felt ignored by mass media and carved out a profitable niche by giving them non-nutritional content.
-
Nailed it!

Oh he is evil. His papers are losing £ hand over fist here in Britain, so much so that shops offer his papers for free to customers at the tills. You can't buy a copy of the Sun in Liverpool because they boycotted his paper over the smears against Liverpudlians at

To be clear, I didn’t say he’s not evil, merely pointed out that he’s more cynical than evil. Perhaps craven is a better word? In any case, unprofitable newspapers aren’t exclusive to Murdoch - it’s a universal problem that can’t be pinned to the jaundiced worldview of one man.
-
He doesn't care about money. He cares about power. He, like the Koch Brothers, wants to remake the world in his own image. The guy has more money than he can ever spend and will likely be dead soon. You're being naive.

Money Is Power

Exactly!

Maybe they are actually going to discuss WTF to do about their dear leader? A girl can dream, can’t she?
-
Now THAT would make my day but only IF it meant, "how do we get rid of him"??

If only...

They may be. He may be seen as no longer an asset to the oligarchs and so a narrative change is in order from state tv. Regardless, it certainly doesn’t mean they suddenly care about American democracy or the 99%.
-
regardless, we know they are up to no good. this, is scary.

Is this the befinning of a narrative change at state tv? McConnell not tell Lindsey? or just a coincidence...https://twitter.com/adamcbest/status/1060769127256743936?s=21 …

You'll have to excuse, Lindsey. He's never been part of a clique, member of a gang, or invited to anything more risque' than a child's birthday party. He has no idea what it takes to be part of the In-Crowd & Narcs don't get invited to parties either. That's why he wasn't there.
