Is this for real? I have to ask. Does this mean they’re being buried here because there isn’t room for them elsewhere? I’m not being dense. Just asking.

Apparently, this island has been used for a very long time to bury those without known kin or when the family just can't afford a better burial.. It's just very sad that there are so many people that fall in to that category now.

its hard to describe or imagine what the cost is...for us its just numbers on a page or on the tv..but everyone of these bodies was a living breathing individual with families and friends..this video perhaps gives a more chilling effect of the cost :(

For me it is not numbers on a page. I was born in NYC and most of my family lives in and around NYC. I have family members sick, 3 recovering, 1 in ICU, 1 died on Monday. I'm in Texas, but what is happening in NYC affects me in a very real way.

To document it, just like people in China and Wuhan did. To show it's real.
