Is there a word for the aspect of language that creates a ladder for the abstractions of bandwidth between fidelity and robustness?
The ladder which we use when we're selecting terms of meaning robust or high fidelity. Is it even a ladder?

When in terrible danger, you'll shout "HELP!" One of many messages you could broadcast, but probably the most robust in acted-upon meaning.
