Yes. I kill. In a way. But it's different. I kill painlessly. Animals like this. I think?

They're not wild anyway. And they're less intelligent. I think this makes it okay?

Look, the lion belonged to the park, his purpose is er being tracked and looked at by humans, not being sold to the food industry. Sigh.

I can't rationalise this. All I can say is that the hunter should have known better about the risk of mob shaming.

You're helping afford a system which kills a 1/4 of animals for no reason at all: http://www.reddit.com/r/TrueReddit/comments/1c364v/262_of_all_meat_produced_is_thrown_away_or_wasted/ …

How do the mob attacking the hunter not feel guilty about their part in billions of other killings?

At least the hunter looks the animals he slaughters in their eyes. He doesn't delegate the dirty work and then pretend he's a saint.

@sebinsua I know plenty of hunters. None of them are cruel. None of them would condone trophy hunting. You hunt for food, not for fun.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

@anyane It's not fun for me when an animal is killed in my name and then the meat is left to waste. Do we feel anything?2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
@anyane I guess we like it that the meat is cheap. That is our pleasure and it is higher ethically than the hunter's base desire to kill.
