It's a lot easier to push through masses of work than it is to find a mind hack that puts you in a state of "flow". But the latter sells.
Imagine that somebody wrote a self-help book and in the 1st chapter it told you to put hard work in and to enjoy your present achievements.

In the 2nd chapter the author explains that their knowledge is either very specific to themselves or too general to be easily actionable.

They recommend that you stop reading what they have to say and walk outside comfortably to make your own mistakes and live your own life.
