I would like to read a book about the design and maintenance of systems that incentivise particular behaviour.
And if that's hard due to the wrong starting point causing failure, I'd like human actors to caretake to start with. Do books on this exist?

Books on groundskeeping, caretaking. Perhaps the affordance of misaligned incentives and waste management.

Books on how to manage bad systems design. I forbid myself from the thought that I can create perfection: I will have to handle my messes.
