It's problematic to not know when to value your status globally or locally.
Or when a software engineer works at a top-10 company and feels completely unsatisfactory there. They act like they are below-average.

In general it's quite problematic to try to value yourself at all but unfortunately it is part of the social contract and a necessary skill.

There's a big issue with global perceptions distorting local valuations. Like reading the Daily Mail as a shortcut to feeling righteous.
