It's problematic to not know when to value your status globally or locally.
Like when somebody likes to sing kareoke with their friends and then one day decides that they are going to go on X-Factor.

Or when a software engineer works at a top-10 company and feels completely unsatisfactory there. They act like they are below-average.

In general it's quite problematic to try to value yourself at all but unfortunately it is part of the social contract and a necessary skill.
