The importance of signalling null interactions. A recruiter calls and I do not pick up. No signal is created and I continue to be spammed.
If it was @okcupid I would have a red circle: replies very selectively.
Likewise, startup incubators often signal their selectivity.

Something actionable: If you expect data, you can detect its absence. If you don't expect it, it'll be harder to detect null interactions.

Null interactions (the term I am using until a better one appears) are actually often really worth measuring.

Like: how many people intended to reach customer support, but then quit after sitting in a call centre queue for 30 minutes?
