    We desperately need more diversity in the field of software engineering. To that end is working to inspire young women of color to see themselves as future programmers. I just donated $250 to help them out.

    This is harder than most Democrats will go, but it is not enough. Work towards abolishing policing, replace it with community-led first responders. Want context & to understand what this looks like? Here's a single starting point:

    We have got to act boldly to eradicate systemic racism and police violence. I am calling for sweeping policy reforms to protect people—particularly communities of color—who have suffered violence for far too long.

    TIL Alameda County has a super right-wing, Trumpist sheriff, Greg Ahern. "A cop's cop". County sheriff is an elected office. Ahern has held the office since 2006. No candidate has ever challenged him at the polls. He's next up for election in 2022.

    This update includes a bunch of fixes and small improvements we've made over the past year. Seaquence plays nice with other audio apps now, and has a better foundation for future improvements.

    Highest population increase i saw was in parks, which makes sense. WFH people getting outside, same as me. Downtown and shopping areas are relative ghost towns.

    I should clarify. More people walking, jogging, and on bikes and PEVs. Not too many cars, which is great.

    When I get frustrated at work it really affects my mood. Was pretty aggro toward a driver who (unintentionally?) cut me off in the bike path.. Need to remember to check my state of mind when switching modes.

    Added some vertex based ambient-occlusion to the 3D CA demo shader in pst-alpha. Only 3 checks per vertex, and it looks pretty good!
