I wrote about libraries, Tor, privacy, and how it’s not always as simple as it seems. http://allthecandyintheworld.com/wp/2015/09/libraries-and-tor/ …
@mjtsai In case you haven’t seen it, VNews story like to detailed minutes: https://doc-0s-8k-docs.googleusercontent.com/docs/securesc/ha0ro937gcuc7l7deffksulhg5h7mbp1/jctefqloqilnsdpkrevor1qpt6s3kpgi/1441987200000/09312851030154427479/*/0B20uz_ArJ0MDMFBXcUxabUt3V1U?e=download … Seems like a solid presentation.

@notio Front page of the VN! I don't understand why they say it means "faster bandwidth for patrons." Implies they'll install browser. - View other replies

@mjtsai Also, because they upped the Comcast bandwidth, this could account for “faster” aspect. -
@notio I guess so, though they could have done that separately. Just sounded odd because I thought Tor was known for being slow. - View other replies

@mjtsai Based only on my observation at other community board meetings. :) -
@notio Yep. It’s frustrating to work from a historical record like that, though. I try to tease issues apart before minutes are voted on. -
@mjtsai I’m always in favor of more detailed minutes. Transcription a little too far, but “reasons for thinking this way” are helpful.
