This shows it's a very principled issue for him. He's the one major candidate taking truly moral stances, not compromising. Obviously if he is elected, he will need to become more pragmatic. Overall, I think our country needs a moral leader right now.

It’s principled to forgive the debt of America’s richest classes and greatest potential earners? I can’t say I agree. I think if we’re going to help people in America, we should help the impoverished and destitute. Not the Twitterati.

More debt = less money they can use to buy houses, start businesses and stimulate the economy. While idk if forgiving existing debt is the right move, helping the subsequent generations not be burdened by loans is important for the economy.

It's back to the magic money tree to pay for it I guess. Theres a case to be made for helping to off-set some of the cost for certain disadvantaged people and certain vital professions but effort would be much better spent reducing the ridiculous cost.pic.twitter.com/XrIlqZd1ix

I’m a teacher and don’t make anywhere near any of these numbers you have here.

I’m a teacher as well. We are supposed to be happily poor, for the greater good. There was a resignation letter written by a male teacher a few years back that sums it up nicely. They know that we will do it no matter how bad the pay is, and they take advantage.
