Believe or not, all that you named is not bare minimum . I’ve learned a lot about parents in the school system
-
That is the bare minimum of survival and the bare minimum of what is needed for a child to grow up in a healthy and happy environment.

The statements she made still are useful and can make the younger parents that read it self-aware so that they might not say the same things they heard.

When there’s SO MANY PARENTS not doing this it’s really not the BARE MINIMUM. when There’s so many families that’s UNABLE to do this for their children it isn’t the bare minimum.
-
I don’t think black parents say this to rub it in their child’s face but it’s more of saying be greatful for what we have because it’s kids that didn’t eat today because their parents paid all the bills and didn’t have enough to buy food.

They use it as a comeback because, as shitty as it is, it's valid because there are kids like me that didn't have the bare minimum as it's described here. Some kids didn't get any of the above listed.
-
Okay, what does what other kids not get or habe, have to do with making sure you provide for your children emotionally and mentally and not just dismiss them because you’re doing what you’re supposed to do as a parent.

It depends. If said in a moment where your child is displaying pure audacious ungratefulness, it's warranted. IE your kid says "I can't have my iPad?, this place sucks!" You gotta let them know what the privileges vs entitlements are. Other than that, I don't use this phrase.
-
Yep, because life isn't black and white, and context matters.
