seriously ? you cannot imagine there are now two or even four (+ apple + amazon) of them ? use windows 10 pro for six months, you will repent
-
I have been using it for like 8, and before that I've been using various Linux desktops for like 20 years and W10 gets my vote.
-
No wait, 8 months and 20 years I'M NOT THAT OLD But I'm new to Windows as it is, that's for sure. WSL won me over.
-
Windows Subsystem for Linux Being able to ssh from Windows directly and having gnu tools was all I needed. Ah, and hyper-v. It just works.
-
Whaat ? Sorry. Lamest set of excuse ever

Hyper-V and VBS are highly arguable. I expect someone to find a huge in those any time soon. Intrusive and pervasive.
Anyway. Tech is dead. Politics and Biz took over. -
That may be, but I need tools that work and W10 works for me :) and I'm not trying to convince anyone; each to their own
-
my hat in the ring for W10Pro with Hyper-V (what Docker only supports using now) and WSL. I use it at work for my daily driver to do web based stuff and deliver to linux based systems, and it works flawlessly.

Tell me when you start using Bing.

-
I am using bing and Edge, on my phone too :) Bing needs some work. At work I'm using Google unfortunately as it's better for infosec.
-
Actually DuckDuckGo is better for infosec. Google tracks all the data when using anything of theirs, especially their search engine. It's only good for testing connectivity lol, not security.
-
I disagree, constantly finding myself using !g when the results suck (often).
-
Ddg uses bing for some things And Google's image search is top notch (find similar)
-
But you know what, I'll give ddg a week's trial run and see what happens :)
-
I've tested search results from both Google and DDG. Pretty similar for the most part. Except DDG doesn't track you. Even if they use Bing for some things (which I don't see how or why they would do so), Bing's trackers wouldn't be in play.
-
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Search results are subjective. I'd prefer not to be tracked, but I'd also like to easily find what I'm looking for. DDG is my default, but I'll continue to !g when I don't instantly find what I'm looking for. Perhaps
@DuckDuckGo uses that data to improve results. - 3 more replies
