    New in Xcode 11.4’s view debugger, you can separate CALayers from their hosting view! Previously, sublayers were always flattened onto their hosting view layer. Now, Editor>Show Layers renders sublayers as their own planes. Excited to see something I worked on at Apple ship!

    Any internet accessible home surveillance video service will provide access to that video, to the government of whatever country you are in, if they get the right paperwork. You cannot "opt out" of a subpoena. Do not use cloud cameras with any expectation of privacy.

    Cops can ask Ring to save any footage they want, meaning it doesn't get deleted under Ring's cloud storage plan, while they get a warrant/subpoena Ring videos aren't exactly "yours." Cops are always a step away from getting whatever they want.

    As I have mentioned there are bills pending across the country to make it a crime to support gender affirming care for youth and other bills that seek to bar young people from living according to who they are. Here’s a map (though more are coming every day):
