Looking at the USB interface to a Owon AG2052F (function generator). It has USB ID 5345:1234 which means "USB on a random Owon device"; the datasheet claims it talks SCPI and .. well, sending it '*IDN?' gives the expected result, so I guess it does.
Couldn't find any existing code to communicate with it, so found the docs for the SCPI commands and produced some good-enough™ Python to control it remotely from Linux. wow, they were too lazy to spend the effort to make it support the USBTMC device class?
A lot of Owon stuff seems to do this "SCPI commands in single USB bulk writes" interface, at least it's simple. I'm happy they support SCPI - my super-cheap Owon USB oscilloscope only supports some custom protocol. I wrote a Python driver for it, together with a friend, but ugh.
