So, federalism then? I’m not sure what needs to sink in here? Pushing power to the lowest levels of government has long been a guiding constitutional principle.https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/1248774918952673281 …

You know how the Army and Marines handle the chaos of the battlefield? They delegate as much authority as they can to the lowest levels. The NCOs and the junior officers, those closest to the fight and thus best positioned to respond. I do see correlation here.

It’s a matter of preference on my end, and I fully admit it, but little editorial flourishes like “wow” and “let that sink in” are a little annoying. Like I’m being told how to react to something.

This comment amuses me. Just because people confuse the two all the time, including this guy with zero followers who think he’s correcting me. https://twitter.com/sestermont/status/1249035061644705792?s=21 …https://twitter.com/SEstermont/status/1249035061644705792 …

I’m all for that. Those levels are generally equipped with the supplies they need. That’s not the case across the US, so people are naturally looking to the feds

          1) You know how well-managed professional multinationals handle multi-site and multi-function issues e.g. a significant customer quality escape? They put together a cross-functional team to coordinate the response and manage actions.

In the military there is a coherent policy and reasoning behind the actions taken and delegations made. In the administration there is no coherent policy or any reasoning for decision making. Chaos reigns. It is far from ideal.
