I tried it with SC2Unmasked and it worked on my profile but not on several others that I tried, even though I can see those players listed on SC2Unmasked when I browse manually.

How are people using http://battle.net links? I've seen other players use Copy Link on their streams but they don't stream their desktops so I'm not sure what they're doing with the links.

You can copy them into SC2Unmasked search bar at least, that's what I use it for

But in any case, SC2Unmasked is an interesting site. I always knew from BW replay analysis that unmasking smurfs was possible so it's cool to see someone did the work for it in SC2 with so many barcodes.
