Maybe times have changed and this is just the way people talk now? I stopped visiting /r/starcraft because of how common it is for people to post and upvote abusive chat logs. Apparently people want to read the abuse and share it to others.
What happened to two people playing a video game together for fun and engaging in a respectful competition? People have very different attitudes now than 12-15 years ago.

I don't know - do you remember playing Skew and Mistrzzz back in the day? I think even games like dota, where it's common, have found ways to segregate toxic players semi-automatically. Would be good to see a mute feature in SC2 and BW - it's not like it requires communication.
