Which were the more imbalanced BW maps?
Re: BW having no balance patches. Maps balanced the matchups in BW for years. There were only four maps in a pool with more extreme differences between them. The SC2 map system doesn't serve the same purpose so seasonal balance tweaks are more important.

There were weird maps like Katrina, which was P>T, and Monty Hall, which was T>P. I'm sure there are some more extreme examples that I don't remember, but the worst maps don't last more than a single tournament, so they're quickly forgotten.

Maps that are comfortable to play on are usually enjoyed even if they have an imbalance. Longinus was rather standard even with its double geyser pocket base.
