    One thing missing is: How can the journalism industry empower, value and listen to the freelancers on which so many outlets rely? The few freelancer unions I've heard of are lacking IMO. Please correct me. If you've got any good resources, please share.

    And when you're done, try this one too. An interesting perspective. I started journalism at the same time as Gen X, but I'm also one of the "Grateful to be Here." Together, these give a sense of some major issues in journalism, and how to address them.
