I honestly was going to let the whole thing go until @KubeCon decided to tweet about it.
I don't particularly want to have this fight. Especially on Twitter.

Cause and effect. You jumped in with a bad angle, caught the blowback, and continue to act innocent. This stuff doesn't just stop because you suddenly don't want to be involved. Welcome to accountability.

There will be consequences for the things we do. Of course, that doesn't make it right either.

Take some time, man. That's all I can say. All of this was a mess and I still think you're too stuck in your world to begin to grasp why. I've had to actively dismantle a ton of conditioning in my world but Twitter can help you get there. But you have you want to do it.

Honestly, great use of the time. He can sit and think about it all.

Are we still worrying about the feelings of the man who blocked me and many others when we called out his foolishness? (Genuine question, I’m still blocked and I can’t see his tweets).

Right? He didn't block me, but he either ignored or muted me when I asked him directly if he approved of John targeting me and others. He was calling for civil conversation about what happened while ignoring a person that was actually a part of the original incident.

Yeah not worried about him. What bothers me are all the people defending him and John. Dismissing what happened to me and others as some harmless bickering. Continuing the false narrative that racism, sexism, etc doesn't really exist in tech. It's tiring.

When Linux Foundation broke the news that they’d revoked his invitation, I knew there’d be uproar. But we/you won. The effort effected change nothing anyone says today can change it. I’m smelling those roses and mentally preparing for the next bout.

That was a good thing for sure. It's good to stop and smell the roses for a bit. I guess this just doesn't feel over for me. If they succeed in rewriting history, then none of this matters.
