idk why this always feels embarrassing to admit but I’m one of the very few people I know who reads avidly but likes ebooks to the point where I own very few physical books

I think you’re just a special kind of disciplined- I need a physical book sitting on my desk taunting me to finish it to get through it. Ebooks are too “out of sight out of mind” for me

I feel like that too. Too easy to get distracted on a device.

My clique considers me strange for light reliance on ebooks, preferring used books (cheaper) and later the public library. Different strokes, I guess.

Makes total sense. Embarrassing is just a made up idea

I too prefer ebook over physical books. And if I like the book very much and think that it's worth a second read then I buy those books. Letters from a Stoic by Seneca and Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl are two of those books.

Okay sounds like I need a Kindle? I didn't realize you could highlight and search. I always preferred paper books because of digital reading on my phone never lasts due to app or other digital distractions.
